Real Madrid players in their white kit, inspired by Corinthian FC's colors from 1902.

Real Madrid

Real Madrid plays in white as a tribute to the English amateur team Corinthian FC. Two of Real Madrid's founders saw Corinthian play at The Oval in London in 1902 and were so impressed that they copied the team's colors. The all-white kit has been the club's match uniform for over a hundred years, with one exception. For the 1925-26 season, the team switched to black shorts, but after a series of humiliating defeats, including a 1-5 loss to arch-rivals Barcelona, the then-club president Pedro Parages decided to return to white shorts the following year.
